Jengel Downtrodder II is super important album in 2017. Absolutely fierce. Jake unleashes the fury in the words so we don't have to. Favorite track: Hello Kitty Brass Knuckles.

Choose Tiger 02:26
It was a set-up. It was an ambush. Shaming them because they chose average after years of ads, Meant to destroy our self-esteem, meant to make us feel inadequate. But now you're selling us this rosy dream where every body is beautiful? Liars! You spent the last 60 years capitalizing on insecurities that you planted. Create the problem, sell the solution. Like fish in a barrel. And then, the next commercial break - you're back to your old habits. What's the latest flaw? What needs fixing now? Soft smooth beautiful armpits. Silence! How dare you call me beautiful when you spent my whole life fabricating flaws?

Chain emails from older relatives warning me of the danger. "Always keep a half tank, park under the street lamp and never next to a stranger." Amazon related items: it's a pink rape whistle, Hello Kitty brass knuckles. It's not lipstick, it's a knife. But will I be afraid to use them? Memorize the make and model when a strange man hits his brakes. "No I'm fine, I'm just walking." I hope he didn't hear my voice shake. What if tonight is the night? What if I'm too scared to fight? What if I can't manage to shout? What if my knees just give out? What if there isn't just one? What if he's got a gun? What if this sidewalk was my gravestone?

Tiny tyrant! Little dictator. When things don't go your way, you take your ball and go home, bye bye. Fly off the handle at the slightest disagreement, then you blame it all on me because you didn't get your way :( So fragile, so delicate. Skin thinner than an eggshell, spine weaker than clay. If you're gonna insult me, gutless, say it to my goddamn face. If we're such a problem, why'd you take oath in the first place? Manipulator. Turn away intel directors, turn on a little Fox & Friends. Informed by your own propaganda, press room filled with obvious plants. You only care about yourself. Your name, your brand, and no one else. You only care about yourself, the detriment of everyone else.

They tried to break us, tried to tear us apart 'cause they know that strength lies in many, not one. They tried to trap us in an unwinnable game with ever-changing rules, inescapable shame. Just because of who we are. No. If that's the game, then we pass. We forfeit, we quit, kiss our ass. We never signed up for this shit. No. Internalizing their hate. Dissecting ourselves in a mirror - why would we repeat that on someone else? They taught snap judgments based on hemlines, hair and skin and nails, but we just don't buy it. It's our choice and we like it. We deserve respect and we all look perfect. We weren't born judging one another. It was drummed into us long ago, now reinforced and monetized with celebrity feuds. Who wore it best? Who fucking cares? Who fucking cares? Who fucking cares? Who fucking cares? They can't keep us down forever. We can unlearn these vicious lies. We will thrive if we stick together. Butch from birth or femme as fuck. We reject all options they choose. We stand here as one, win or lose. We, power to be reckoned with. We love beyond any limits. Just be you.
5.
Make your argument for funding. Rebuild the country on a lie. Fire up the drills, pipelines extending. What we will get is not what we need. You won't look past your bottom line while workers die in your coal mine. Promised the world to the unemployed before you burned it to the ground. Hot dog holidays wouldn't be the same without teary-eyed reverence. One day to honor those that strike, one day for those that fight. Three hundred sixty-three days more for you to stigmatize them. One day is good enough for them. One day is good enough. Where do we fit in the profit margin? Where can we make a contribution? When we wake up from this nightmare you call the American dream? Where do we fit in the your profit margins? When can we make a contribution? We won't be measured for what we're worth by the scars left on this barren earth. When will your pursuit of happiness run out of fuel? When will your thirst be quenched? We'll be here in the dark when the lights flicker out.

Trashlisted 01:55
Little Johnny jump-up, so quick on the defensive. Every time it comes up, gotta get your two cents in. An instant deflection. Cover your ears, never listen. "He would never do that," you mean he'd never do that TO YOU. You won't stand here and listen to this "slander"? Tough shit, kid - your bro's a piece of garbage and we will not be silenced. He's not the victim, fuck your worthless opinion. Your bro is garbage so we're taking out the trash. Your clear self-interest couldn't be more obvious. The femmes that you call friends are being raped and abused. Why won't you help us? We gain nothing by coming forward. We deserve to tell the truth. Apologist cowards, thanking your "loyal fans". Knowingly endangering women. Knowingly enabling rapists. 'Cause you stand by your man. We know you won't believe us because you never even fucking try. Why don't victims come forward? Look in the mirror, that's why.

Lying awake, no need for alarm clock. Nightmares are back but I'm not sleeping. Rotting and nauseous, anxious, exhausted. Hang up the phone, I just can't do this. Yesterday, 63 million people voted for a campaign based on hate and fear, "BUT AT LEAST PUNK'S GOOD AGAIN." I should have known, should have known better. Now I can read hatred in numbers. How many flags of the Confederacy did you see growing up in the northeast? This is no time to play dead. I better message all my friends, tell them this is not how this ends. Make a to-do list before the 20th: get an IUD, sign up for therapy. Let's talk strategy for 2018. I'll hold onto this anger. No normalization, no collaboration! Block, disrupt, resist! If I go down, I will go down swinging! Block, disrupt, resist! I'll throw myself on the gears and the wheels to stop this machine. Show you what ungovernable means. And now we're stuck with this. No way out.
